A thrilling walking route in Sibillini Mountain National Park that covers the entire mountain chain. A route made up of comfortable landscapes, tablelands, small villages, rivers, lakes, gullies, old churches and postcard view, which we’ll enjoy from 2476 Meters of the top of the highest mountain of Le Marche: Mt. Vettore. A tour in an enchanting land characterized by myths and legends linked to Sibilla, mixed to millenary traditions.

A 6 day walking route among the most fascinating und multicoloured stopping places of Mountains Sibillini. Starting from Cupi, with its open grasslands populated by Rock Partridges, we will arrive to Fiastra Lake, an enormous and wonderful mirror, in which the sky and the Sibillini mountain chain reflect. The second stopping place will be Prati di Ragnolo with its charming highlands and 360° view, crossing the beechwood to arrive to Garulla. The third day we will cross the Ambro Valley to enjoy the view of one of the most beautiful gullies of Marche, the “Gola dell’Infernaccio”. The fourth and fifth day, we will move close to Mt. Vettore, by passing through “Colle di Montegallo” and “Forca di Presta” passage. From here, we can see the famous “Piani di Castelluccio” that during spring are painted by thousand colours thanks to the spontaneous flowers growing among the precious cultivated legumes.

Great end on the top of Mt.Vettore! It is the highest top of Le Marche. The efforts will undoubtedly be repayed to reach this eccellent location, from which it is possible to admire wide views, which extend from the Adriatic Sea to Abruzzo and Gran Sasso range.

1st Day
Meeting at Fiastra. The first part of the route crosses an environment characterized by open grasslands populated by Rock Partridges; we’ll continue with the splendid views that open to the high valley of Chienti and the basin of Camerino. The descent from Mountain Coglia to Fiastra offers suggestive views over the blue lake of Fiastra and small surrounding villages. Reached the destination, there will be the possibility of a dive in Fiastra lake waters. Dinner and overnight stay in double and 3/4 beds room with private bathroom.

2nd Day
After breakfast, we’ll climb to one of the most panoramic locations of the national Park, “Prati di Ragnolo”, a tableland suspended at 1500m above sea level. After, we will reach “Pintura di Bolognola” and “Garulla”, by passing through a beechwood suspended on the wild valley of “Tre Santi”. Dinner and overnight stay in double and 3/4 beds room with private bathroom.

3rd Day
Day 3: The walking route passes through the suggestive Ambro and Tenna valleys, towered above by Mt. Priora and “Balzo Rosso”, a 300m vertical rocky spur. A route made up of small villages, old holy locations und tower-houses. When arrived at Rubbiano, we’ll leave the Great Ring Route to visit one of the most popular and fascinating place of the Park: the Infernaccio Gorge. Dinner and overnight stay in double and 3/4 beds room with private bathroom.

4th Day
After breakfast, we will leave Tenna Valley heading south, always dominated by the magic Mt. Sibilla. During the walking, we meet two old churches: “S. Maria di Casalicchi” (XIII century), and “Santa Maria in Pantano” (VIII century); this last one is also called “Santa Maria delle Sibille” for the five Sibille paintings Sibille, it has unfortunately been destroyed after the earthquakes in 2016. Dinner and overnight stay in double and 3/4 beds room with private bathroom.

5th Day
The first part of the route is under the east slope of Mt.Vettore; when we will arrive at “Forca di Presta” passage, the landscape suddenly changes and open to the infinite lands of Castelluccio. Dinner and overnight stay in double and 3/4 beds room with private bathroom.

To the top of the highest mountain of Le Marche: the Mt. Vettore! Our adventure will finish in the best way, at 2476m, on the mountain top. Transfer to Fiastra. End of our services.

Tour info

Luggage and backpacks: A good level of physical training is required. We will walk the entire route on foot with a small backpack. Luggages will be moved from one accomodation to the other.
Allergies and specific diet: Don’t forget to inform us about your specific dietary need. Last minute request may not be accepted. On the route could be difficult to find detail food like gluten – free. For this reason we higly recommend to bring your own food.

On request, we can activate: BASE Insurance Policy It should be requested together with the tour booking because it has to be issued within 24 hours from the booking confirmation. Payment has to be done together with the deposit specifying on the payment description “Deposit and BASE Insurance Policy”. Alternatively, it is possible to activate the TOP Cancellation Policy with 15 days before the departure.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation within 30 days before the departure: 25% loss of the total cost;
  • Cancellation from 29 to 16 days before the departure: 50% loss of the total cost;
  • Cancellation from 15 to 6 days before the departure: 75% loss of the total cost;
  • Cancellation within 5 days before the departure: 100% loss
